If you received a referral and are waiting for your child's assessment or are waiting for the diagnosis we may suggest you consider taking the following steps:
Step 1: Read About Autism.
Step 2: Perform On-line Developmental Screening of your child to determine which skills you need to teach and focus on in the meantime.
Step 3: Participate in Free Community-Based Programs and Seminars.
Step 4: Start using Home-Based Strategies and Activities to enhance your child's development.
Step 5: Read and assess information about possible therapeutic changes that you can introduce into your child's diet (Gluten Free & Casein Free Diets, etc.) and other types of Biomedical Interventions.
Step 6: Start doing Special Physical Exercises and Sports with your child.
Step 7: Find out about availability of different Parent Supports.
